The main point behind this topic is to understand the "order" in which DNA is organized:
DNA - a chemical in the form of a molecule - makes genes.
Many genes put together make chromosomes.
Chromosomes are found in the nucleus of every cell in an organism.
Humans have 46 chromosomes, sometimes referred to as 23 pairs of chromosomes.
This video is good up until the 3:00 min. mark - it has good visuals showing the chromosome, the genes that make it up, and then looks at how half your DNA comes from each of your parents - heredity.
